The ECU and relays that control the wipers is part of the motor assembly.

I had to replace the whole thing on my 2004 a couple of years ago, its a right faff getting the assembly out and the new one installed. It looks easy, as the assembly is only held in place by a couple of bolts, but you soon find the bonnet, strut brace, brake servo are all in the way. I managed to do it, but you need to remove quiet a lot of parts to get it where you can wiggle the assembly out.
