And they sure do.

Would be great if you could get 22's in the same style as below pic. Any forum peeps know if that's at all possible?

You can get 21" versions which are basically Q7 Audi original Wheels, but you would need adapters as the pcd is different on Q7s but I havent seen 22" versions of these anywhere

Do you think this is a problem? The thin spokes that is. What do you think the best 22's to get are?

Thanks for your feedback earlier btw.

Where's the tyres on them 22 inch wheels .....I can see some black rubber bands but that it ??
Each to there own here but if it makes the ride quality harsh I just wouldn't like them , suppose the s8 is more that sort of car but an a8 is a more luxurious kind of car where ride quality is the key for me , maybe it's just an age thing .... get there in comfort rather than being dragged along on a shovel .

I'm convinced with modern cars that this low profile tyre and stiff suspension set up is what knocks bells out of suspension components , broken springs , ball joints worn out and so on , it seems the German cars have gone this way more so , not everyone wants to scrag round corners on two wheels and a door handle

My A8 is on 20 inch wheels and for me thats big enough , if there is anything I would like better on the car is a more plush ride in comfort mode , I think the set up is still more firm side of comfort .

Again not knocking them , the wheels look great , them ceramic discs must cost a fortune also !!

yes i agree with the ride quality
but i think its the stupid air suspension thats to blame
wish there was an alternative

(coilovers ? )

If you want a comfortable ride quality there is nothing better than the citroen hydraulic system , your riding on a cushion of oil , we look after a few Bentleys the Arnage is on hydraulic ,a variation of the Citroen system , it floats down the road you don't feel bumps , albeit a bit barge like in the bends ,but just pure ride quality its superb .
The A8 should of used it I think instead of air would of made the ride that bit better and it's no more un reliable than air , plus you can have it in reactive modes like the big mercs .

You can always go with airride for better comfort
There is one s8 I saw on Vortex forum on air from acuair, I believe
But I kinda like the ride in my s8
Had few s class'es and ride is very comfy even too comfy I would say....like s8 better
I got 20's on my s8 with 275/35 tyres I reckon if upgraded to 21's 275 on 30 - that would be too harsh already, 22's what I would need 275 on 25......
To change appearance with 20" wheels - less spokes look bigger, wider rim lets say 10.5J would transform the car 360....and we can use same tyres, saves few ££££
