S6 question
I spotted this S6 avant for sale a few weeks ago and having watched it for 10 days called Bradford Audi only to be told it had been sold. There were never any photos as the advert always had the 'awaiting photos' on the Audi website. It was £26500 from Audi.
http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&ct=clnk&gl=uk The car dropped off the Audi website about 10 days after I called and has now appeared a few weeks later at a dealer for slightly more at £26980. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...01603111866023 I suppose it could have been advertised for a while at Audi before I started looking (although the 'awaiting photos' would suggest otherwise) so maybe the auto100 dealer got it for less than the £26500 and is still making a healthy profit. My other thoughts were that Audi maybe decided before they put the pictures up that it didn't meet the requirements for them to sell it with a 12 month warranty? The woman I spoke to at Bradford Audi did um and aw a bit when I asked her about it before saying it was sold. To be honest, I've now decided Sepang Blue would be my preferred colour and I'm going to wait a few months until I sell a few other things first but would appreciate any thoughts as to whether this car above could have an issue or not or are Auto100 simply an outlet for Bradford Audi (which google tells me are not maybe too far away) Thanks for any input. |

just a guess really, but could be at that mileage once they had a chance to check it out they didn't feel it met the requirements of an Audi "approved" sale whatever that means. Most main dealers have an arrangement with non franchised dealers to shift that sort of stuff. However a decent pre-sale inspection should throw up anything which might prompt a negotiation on price
Oh and I agree sepang blue is very nice

What he said ^^^^
I had the same last year with West London Audi just before buying the C63.The car,a 2008 S8,was advertised with no pics, they forwarded me pics of it which must've been from the px valuation as they said the car is not physically in stock yet.I left a deposit on the car so had first refusal on it but 2 days later get a call from a manager saying sorry but we cannot sell you this car.It is physically on the premises now but upon further inspection it was not upto approved used standards. They refunded my deposit and i got an apologetic email off the salesman i was dealing with who also stated that it had been sold off to a dealer who buys the not upto standard p/xes.

Wow. That's a gorgeous looking car. Love the pan roof (well, my kids would anyway).
I didn't realise the V10 had gone? Well out of my price range though........
