You only need one spacer for each jet.
That is two per car.
The photo of two spacers fitted to the A6 is wrong. You only need the one at the top.
I did say in my earlier post today that the spacers came from Skoda with the fan jets, I was wrong. SWMBO reminded me that jst as I put in a much earlier post in this thread they came with the triple jet upgrade kit I purchased from Germany. The kit had four spacers in it, two for A6/A8 and two for A4 etc. (first for aluminium cars second for steel cars)
Apologies, I have no idea of part numbers.

No problem, Ray. Thanks for the additional info.

I can order the triple jet retrofit from Audi, no problem. It's the right Skoda part that's bugging me at the moment. I don't want to go in and ask for a washer jet and the guy ask me 'for what car?' and I do nothing but stare at him blankly!

Part Number for heated fan jet 5M0955986C
It is a Seat/Skoda/VW part, I had to emphasize this with my local Skoda parts chap.

Sorry for delay in answering, rather busy

I did this mod today!

The fans are great, although I can't get one of them to stop pointing at the base of the screen. I think that's mainly because I managed to snap one of the mounting clips off it.

For anyone else looking to make the swap to the Skoda washers, mine (2008 S8) fit without the spacers. In fact, trying to force it in with a spacer fitted is what caused it to break.

I'll pick up another Skoda jet at some point to replace the one I snapped and hopefully it'll line up properly.

Thanks guys for all your help!

Done mine but the part I ordered (5M0955985C) turned up and it doesn't have the plug, just the fluid feed Let me guess, I've bought the wrong part?

It clipped in perfectly, definitely no adapter required (also 2008 S8)

Part removed from car:

New part:

Connector which now has nothing to connect to:

Yep, wrong part.
The plug is for heating the washer jet.
Offhand I don't have the part number.
If your car is a 2008 then you mightl not need the spacers.

Here are the numbers
Adapter part number:
8e0955431

Fan washer part number
5M0955986C

Looks like your parts guy has let you down, suggest you return them.

Yep, my fault and I've reordered the correct part.

I in fact ordered the non-heated version.

5M0955985C is the non-heated version
5M0955986C is the heated version

The part number you have stated is correct according to ETKA, Spray nozzle, heated.

Have to say thanks to Snapdragon for originally starting the thread about our windscreen washer jets and for ScottD3 following it up with the fan spray ones available on Skodas.

I have now done my first upgrade on the S8, and they are so much better than the old style. I was quite surprised just how big they were in comparison to the ones on the D2.
