Guys,
I have temporarily suspended MingBlue's post for a couple of reasons. It's linked to a post on another forum that is making some pretty damning statements about work done by Ben when he ran AVPerformance. I believe they are potentially libellous statements and so don't want this forum to propagate them. Mingblue may innocently be just linking to something that is of interest/importance to forum members, but their standing is that of a Junior Member and they have only ever made 1 post. I mean no disrespect. My prime thought is for the forum (and me). I'm not going to lock this thread but will monitor closely. I hope you understand.

I will add on a personal note that I have the highest regard for Ben and have always been more than happy on the quality of his work and the effort he has put into both my cars and will continue to go to him for my maintenance and modifications.

I have re-instated mingblue's post as the truth is surfacing and I prefer not to use censorship or expurgation on here.
I think this demonstrates what a dangerous place the internet can be and what damage it can do in the wrong hands. I will not allow these sorts of post on here unless I have incontrovertible proof to support allegations. I have spoken to Ben today and offered my support and advice.

Yes I've seen it and don't believe it.
I was at Revo yesterday to drop my car off to Ben. As I said on SRS, he was deeply upset at the allegations and the manor in which they surfaced. Its nice to see that people are now leaping to his defence. Personally I am completely disgusted at what has been perpetrated on AudiSRS. It has been a real eye-opener and left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth. I'll not be hurrying back to that forum. |

I was going to say to you Reffro that despite this thread SRS is usually a good forum, but... Someone suggested that the post Ian made was actually by Ben and not Ian himself and that the other 1st posters were Ben, fair enough.
A mod then said do not post further in this thread, but I thought seeing as I had a very valid post and I was possibly the only one that could verify that Ian wasn't Ben I would just say so, I then got a less then polite message from a mod saying 'What part of do not post didn't you understand? I put your post in the bin'  Now, if your going to delete posts. Why not delete all the irrelevant ones where people have made comments that are not helpful in the thread. Mine was a very valid point and it has just been deleted, however the post which suggests Ben is making these posts himself still remains.

Well, suffice to say we're all pro Ben (not be confused with AVP) here, and any unsupported comments to the contrary on this forum would be unwelcomed.
The guys over there seem to have had a field day over what seems to be a very simple issue / misunderstanding in my eyes and even though the moderator has made a rather poor attempt to difuse the situation, it has at least reached his attention. Im sure everyone would agree that its time to let this die here now too, search engines are nasty things and the more we chatter about it, the more prominent the thread links to Ben, doing him no favours, so I'm removing the link to SRS and closing it....
