My cousin has recently purchased an m3! Now i am sure at some stage he will want to race. Anyone know what the outcome would be and where I could find some specs on m3 vs s8? Thanks

 Seriously... I've tried ah hem setting off briskly along side an M3... no contest, see ta later.... bye bye ...  On dry tarmac with the stig at the wheel he'll have you, but you can waft along comfortably in your large comfortable cabin, with a sensible boot and you dont have to fight off drug seekers at every traffic light who naturally assume you're dealing....  /quit bimmer bashin...

Depends which M3.. But my neighbour struggled to keep up with my D3 4.2 in his M3 (previous model), so should be good to go with your shorter gearing.

M3 has a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds of the top of my head whereas your S8 is 6.6, think manual is a second quicker.

Hi Singh...I own both,my M3csl leaves my S8 on 0-60 but at top end its about the same,but to be fair my m3csl is not standard it only weighs 1385kg to the s8's 1845kg.....on another another note my m3csl is a lot faster than a standard m3.
