Default Wanted 235/35/20's or similar

Looking today I need a new pair of front tires preferably thinner than my 255's so looking for 235's for a little stretch so they don't scrub the arch! If anyone has one or a pair can they let me know thanks. Will probably need them posted though but willing to pay for that, not worried about make but must be worth paying for!!

surely if you change the tyre size at the front and not the back at the same time the car will think somethings wrong?

this is what has stopped me anyway

This is correct - using http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp the diameter would be 14mm smaller which is -2.04%
quattro can only cope with less than 1% difference IIRC which means otherwise it would think that your wheels are starting to slip - not a good result!

Even if you went to 40 profiles you would still be more than 1.35% out so you would need to either change all four tyres and then put up with the rolling radius throwing out the speedo (it will read 68.5 mph at 70!) or look to replace with what you currently have I'm afraid. . .

Yes your both right but mines a lowly 2wd not quattro?!! So I'm safe I have 255/35/20's at the moment just want some not so wide as I have fitted front spacers to bring the wheels level with the arch.

Thanks for the replies tho guys

Default changing fronts

What make would you like mate???? I m sure I could get you some tires at a good price????

However, why do you want to go narrower at the front....

I just put 275/35 on my 20s and 15 mil spacers all round.....it beefed up the look of the car....and improved the handling even more.....admittedly rears can just get a finger in there between tyre and wheel arch.....but my fronts have no problems at alll....not hitting the wheel arch at all...even though they are protruding a little

Got a pair of 225/35/20 on the front now so a little stretch on 8.5's! Running 20mm spacers on front not sure what my offset is. Running 275/35/20 with a stretch on the 10's on the rear with an 8mm spacer just to make it sit flush with the arch. Cheers for your help tho guys.
