Intereating post....
Never properly ignited a set, only time I've really overcooked my brakes was on a Triumph 2500S, they were smoking well, and I knew I was going to rear end the brand new Mk3 Escort something like 100m before impact. Fortunately it wasn't too hard, just shifted some dirt on the rubbing strip on front bumper....... poor Escort though, pushed its bumper & rear valance half way through its spare wheel well Driver didn't care, just told me not to worry about it and drove off leaving me scratching my head.... ? Consequently, I always use manufacturer's parts, or better

Dealers won't have been caught out by this, unless they were seeking to source so called genuine parts on the cheap to sell at OEM prices and circumventing their no doubt strict contractual obligations with the manufacturer.
Therefore they only have themselves to blame and need to be reported the relevant manufacturers head office. |

These things get dropped into the supply chain at times... Happens in all industries, also then allows the crooks to drop in geniune product in the top of their boxes to make it all look legit..
