Default LED Adaptive Cornering Lanterns

The day off work and a previous 'fix' of aliexpress addiction resulted in me updating the cornering lights to LED today..

It was very easy and took 10m minutes to do the pair, I removed the aircleaner to gain access on the offside but didn't need to do anything on the nearside. Work fine, bright and no errors, highly recommended for <£10.

Hey, amazing!!!
I replaced the front parking lights on my Q7 4L just now! No errors...

However, I got errors on the DRLs. By chance did you change those bulbs yourself?

Yes a few of us did the DRLs. There is a thread somewhere.

Hello snapdragon
I bought the same ones on your recommendations they came today, I have fitted them and they are excellent
Do you know if I can put these in my fogs and not get an error on the dash, should have tried it first and there is no way iam taking them back out
Cheers Andy

Do they fade on and off like the standard bulbs? Or just illuminate instantly?

Yes they fade on and off. Not sure they fit the fogs my fogs are H7 I heard some are H11. I want to do the fogs (only using them as coming home lights) and waiting for bright LEDs that don't require external heatsinks or fans. Some have mesh which look promising but the bulb bases are too fat for the foglight housing so would need a hole making and due to the complex contours of the fog casing backs it is bound to leak water. Also the prices from China have gone up ~15% in 2016 due to the weak pound against the yuen

I have the mesh type in the A4 and they work great. I've never tried them in the A8 yet, it's on my job list and I'll report back.

Have you seen these LED's?

Yes, they are the ones I think are best but I think the metal cylinder part would not fit behind the rear cover so would need to cut a hole and seal it with silicone or sugru. That would be hard to get the hole in exactly the right place for a perfect fit.

Did this little mod last week, a bit trickier on an S8 but worth the effort and I much prefer the light they give off to the standard bulbs, thank you kind sir
