Default Retrofitted full size steering fluid reservoir

One day, one job

Retrofitted full size steering fluid reservoir from cars with self levelling rear suspension.

It has 2.5+ liters extra capacity. I can now flush without disconnecting pipes -- just suck all fluid out and fill it fresh. Since system capacity outside the tank is less than 1.5 liters, 2-3 changes like this, each followed by a bit idling, will change almost all fluid in the system.

It also fills that empty space to the right of engine a bit better.

£15 from A8 Parts .

Good idea and a neat solution. I have done it and its a messy job with the possibility of running it dry so the oversize tank is a great idea - but many aren't so fastidious about changing the fluid as you are! Neat, clean and tidy though as always Sergei
