Default Next Mini-Jock Meet - April 2011?

There seem to be a few of here now, so all welcome - even if you're not a jock or mini-jock.

Looking at dates, there are 2 long weekends at the end of April: 22-25 and 29-1 May. The former is Easter when the roads might be pretty busy, but the latter is the Royal Wedding when they might be quiet. On the day of the wedding (Friday 29th) it might be very quiet indeed. My brother and I went out for a beer for Charlie and Di's weeding and left the girls to watch it - it was like a ghost town!

So perhaps that Friday?

If you'd like to suggest a different date, just let me know. In the meantime I'll have a look at the map. I might suggest a Helensburgh (my home town) start as there's a Travel Lodge Hotel for anyone wanting to come up and stay over.

Thoughts and alternative suggestions welcome

I'll have moved on by then Jim and will be down in Plymouth. Bit far for me to go! Best of luck.

Any more takers for 29 April? Thinking of starting at Loch Lomond and heading north. Got 2 possible routes, but can promise some really nice roads. Probably via Callender, Crianlarich and Inverearay, but can modify this depending on where folk are travelling from to make joining the route easier. Probably around about a 2 hour run with a few stops along the way.

I'll get addresses for the sat nav for each of the stops so that the slower drivers (me!) can arrive in their own time (I'm having a personal session on the track with a pro driver for my birthday!)

Please let me know if you're interested. But if the weather is **ite, we'll probably cancel
