its not bristol Trans. As had rear gearbox seal done by them.
Post code comes up with avonmouth. think i tracked it down to company thats part of reynolds tran group. they multitronic box is £990 fitted 1 yr warranty. still seems to cheap

Could be removed from scrappers, checked for leaks, given a coat of paint and cross their fingers they don't have to replace inside 12 month warranty?

Could be but they want your old box on a exchange type basis so only assume they're rebuilding them.
