Default Armageddon... all modified vehicles will be banned!

If you have modified your vehicle at all and live in Europe... This influences you.

Please read...

This is not a drill, no joke. Deadly serious.

This is just plain silly. It's about free choice, culture and cost. I can't believe this would actually work. What's next?.. soon you will not be able to use aftermarket wiper blades, tyres of make and model other then that came on car when new, oil, towbar, roofbars unless you had them from factory, floor mats, air freshener..

its already in place in Germany, where you cannot fit non TUV approved kit to your car. This is checked annually and each modification must have accompanying paperwork otherwise you'll fail the equivalent of the UK MOT.

LED bulbs, go faster stripes, nodding dogs, furry dice, ICE upgrades, hands-free mobile phones, chrome rings around instrument dials....

....I just got to see how they police this! It's just typical of our nanny state - pass tons of stupid laws that can't be enforced. Of course, I know they stopped people using mobile phones in their cars, and smoking in company vehicles.....didn't they?

If its' non original equipment then I am am afraid you can waive it good buy. On the plus note you can get rid of unwanted passenger... if you did not come with the car there is no place for you.

On another note there new MOT rules that came into force this year and they included some rules about illegal use of HID lights. And I passed MOT about a month ago on S8 with aftermarket Chinese HID's no problem at all. I even asked them before going to MOT about that and they said it's fine as long as it does not dazzle oncoming traffic. The only rules are for factory fitted lights that HID's should have headlight washers and auto-level control.

That's it, no more passengers in my cars

Sounds like you have a good MOT tester

My Boxster has factory xenons but no washers or levellers far as I can tell, I also checked this last MOT in June, both MOT station & Porsche dealer told me it would be fine - she passed 1st time with no advisories, MOT tester even adjusted one light for me that he said was a little high
