I never buy aftermarket oil filters. Air filters, perhaps, but NEVER oil or fuel, they have to be genuine Audi.

OK, so Fram seem to be given the thumbs down. I note from Audiworld forum that Mann would appear to be the manufacturer of Audi oil filters but that thread was dated 2004. Is that still the case?

LOL, I even bought a genuine Fiat filter when I serviced my Punto. I probably would have been better off with a patented one on that.

My Audi filters are printed with a Hengst logo.
My fuel filter was UFI, Made in China.

I have a couple of BOSCH oil filters in the drawer from Eurocarparts, they look good quality.
At least we can count the pleats without a pipe-cutter!
