I'm not disagreeing, all I'm saying is if it's something simple and quick then I value my time more than driving around and having car off road if they need it to investigate.
They wouldn't know if you had a quick look or not anyway so no need to tell them. |
Wow, thanks so much for the info Marcin. I've just reinstalled my Bentley manual after a crash and I found the same info, although the locations of the source of the wiring is still a mystery.
So.... err.... it turns out I was able to... uhh.... 'fix' it by operating the switch with the picture of the little wing mirror on the dash. I just went for a quick spin and it seems to be working fine for the one car that overtook me. (please don't shoot me!) I don't know whether I should be concerned about the modules being mixed up, or whether the labels in VCDS are just the wrong way around - the correct LED lit up when needed in actual use. Yes, I'm an idiot and I apologise! |
Listen, you are not an idiot and no need to apologise.
We all done some silly stuff like that at some point and not once and that would make us a forum of idiots and I'm pretty sure that's not what we are :D I'm glad it's all sorted. |
