Hi and welcome to the forum.

This thread came from one of our brothers across the pond click here not aware of anyone that has done it here.

71camaro 19th September 2013 04:03 AM

I've done it, didn't ever get the thread finished. Anyway, it is somewhat difficult as there aren't off the shelf kits available since Bagyard went out of business. If you are a welder, or have a friend who welds it's not too bad. I'll help any way I can, IE parts, advice, designs, etc.

Mikeyfinn 19th September 2013 12:47 PM

ok thanks man, will look into it,have seen it done, thought maybe coilovers then hear so many mixed reports, heard the rears on coilovers not much adjustmeant in height tho to play with.

71camaro 21st September 2013 04:27 PM

Coils for this car have NO height adjustment. They could, but for some reason do not. Unless you really spend they'll also be ill-suited for the car and lead to less than desirable ride quality. I'd say air is the best way to go, but it can be spendy.

Mikeyfinn 24th September 2013 11:19 AM

Yeah I here it can be costly, just wanna lose the gap in the arches now the 10x20 on the rears have gone on...

There are NO off the shelf kits anymore, what I did or a much lower quality bag-over-coil setup are the only options. The bagovers generally ride very soft and aren't pleasant. Bagover kits use a sleeve-style bag, too, which isn't what you want on a car as heavy as a D2.

Doing a car with very little aftermarket means doing a lot of custom fabrication type work.

He's based in Longworth in Oxfordshire, just off the A420 from Swindon to Oxford. you may need to keep persevering to get hold of him but he does great work +++
