i was wondering how much this car would go for ive never seen this color interior on one is it rare?? im in tx usa

Architex_mA8tey 12th February 2014 07:34 AM

looks like an Audi exclusive interior rather than a final edition car (although its a late car) as the seat colour is burgundy rather than the brighter red of th final edition which also has steering wheel and gearknob coloured red too. It cost a lot more at the time of manufacture but would think it would be pretty close to normal prices, might make it sell slightly quicker if someone takes a liking to the colour combo though +++

thank you so is this color combo rare? if so im really comsidering to buy to resale in the future has 160 thousand miles for $3000 dollars i think is a good deal

Can't say i've seen multifunction steering wheel as stock, so that's a mod. I'd check it has been done right as there can be airbag issues that can really put a dent in your day.

Odd you don't have the colour screen sat nav as i thought that a stock item on the S8 facelift. You also have what looks to be the sport mode gearbox (PRNDS rather than PRND432) which would make it late 2002 or it would in the UK from what i've read.....stateside may be different.

The drivers seat looks well worn and it could really do with a clean and shine.

I've not seen that colour often and generally i'm glad about it

The steering wheel may well have been specified as an option when the car was ordered as he specc-ed audi exclusive interior as well. it might say something on the build sticker in either the manual or in the boot spare wheel well, take a pic of it if you can then decode it as per THIS THREAD +++

Awesome well i think I'm going to buy it to day give it a little tlc i think it will be worth 8k when I'm done with it

Sir WIll 12th February 2014 08:28 PM

It's an interesting car for sure but it looks very tired and would never be worth £8k. Even with a significant amount of money spent it would struggle to be worth half of that.

jaya8 12th February 2014 08:31 PM

8k American

Sir WIll 12th February 2014 08:35 PM

Valid point, even so it still looks a tired car that needs money spent on it.

mannyo 13th February 2014 03:50 PM

Had a look at the website, the car is down for parting out so best get in there whilst its still in one piece.

Its not Audi Exclusive as its not got the badges on the door cards. Final edition was a UK only spec AFAIK. It is a different seat colour, but I have seen it before.....

They didnt get the Full screen Sat Nav stateside, so the S8 never had it over there. It should have the text based Nav though, although by todays standards thats not really much cop.

Its something to do with the Teleatlas Nav discs not having full mapping information for the USA, so they can do text based, but its not capable of showing the map. There are a few clever souls who have merged map data into a nav disc and retrofitted the 5" colour nav iirc, but basically you'll see loads of cars stateside with the double din Chorus or whatever it is, but you're unlikely to ever find one with Nav plus, and defo not one with it on the build sticker +++

I think, in its defense, the flash was on and that always amplifies any marks in the leather.

I suspect in the flesh, and with a decent vac out it'll probably look quite good......

Looking forward to seeing some better photos of it +++
