Centre console cup holder D2
Hello chaps, went to change the centre console cup holder in my D2 a8 and couldn't find a single screw holding it together. took the rear vents out and undid the two screws at the back then took the arm rests out. then it all ground to a holt. Not a single screw could be found and the plastic trims didn't feel like they're held in by clips. Any one had a bash at changing these?

Not sure exactly what you mean, doesn't it just lift out? What vintage D2 is it?
|
Is this the cup holder for the front seat folks (should just lift out as Andrew says), or something for the rear passengers?
|
Its a pre face lift. The cup holder its self lifts out yes, but I want to change the cover, the bit the flips up in genuine fake wood. It has three screws that hold it in. but looks like I need to remove the wood trim around the gear shifter and the trim under the arm rest so I can gain access to the screws.

Yep, exactly that. There are screws which attach it to the gear lever trim and the centre armrest trim. It's not as straight forward as you first think.
