DVLA added me as "new keeper" on V5 when moving houses
 

We've recently moved houses and I sent V5s for all our 3 vehicles to DVLA for change of address. They have now come back and all of them have added us as "new keepers", although it was just a change of address and I definitely didn't tick the "new keeper" box.

I'll try to ring them tomorrow, but does anyone has experience how to sort this out?

Ive actually found DVLA pretty helpful on the phone. Errors happen, and they're usually pretty understanding when it comes to sorting them out.

had the same thing ...they changed it back

Ditto, they spelt my name wrong, sent it back with an owner added, quickly corrected by them once pointed out.

The changes are all done by computer. They just feed piles of forms into a hopper on a scanner which reads the writing and ticked boxes and updates the database and prints the new documents. That's why there are so many mistakes.

Thanks guys. 2 out of 3 now sorted. Had to ring them 3 times, first 2 times they didn't even take me in the queue because there were so many callers :) My partner will have to ring herself in person to sort out hers.
