Will be giving this one some serious consideration, what are the likely costs? I also want to take a trip to New York/California around the same time...

Conan_the_Librarian 23rd January 2010 07:01 AM

Costs last year for me:

Return ferry trip approx £48
Fuel (LPG mostly) £200 (1000 Mile round trip + touring)
Accommodation (2 nights shared room) + food and all drinks £230

So say £500 for the weekend which included a trip to the Ring

AVPerformance - Put me down Mike! I may not have an A8 (yet) but as we said, one way or another I would love to come!! +++

p.s, my ears are still ringing!!

the cost for me was slightly more than mike mainly because i was running on petrol all the way and not lpg. also i had a longer distance to drive in the uk. my ferry cost was more because i booked very late before departure.
this year i plan to book as early as possible for the ferry and hotel just so i dont miss out. i also plan on staying an extra few days this time and also plan in advance a trip around the nurburgring probably on the return trip. the weekend last year was just amazing and not not to be missed. if anybody is thinking of coming then i can tell you that you will not be disapointed. what a fantastic weekend we had last year +++

I'm estimating £400 fuel, 1170 to Edersee and back, £50 ferry, £230 food and accommodation, a friend really wants to go so I can split some costs with him. Not sure I will stay the full three days either, might go exploring. Is there anything near Erdesee that's worth seeing or en route from England? noticed its quite far from Ingolstadt and the museum mobile. :(

Nurbergring?

Singh 10th February 2010 06:29 PM

It is now looking very likely I am coming, so please put me on the list. Will I have a problem getting onto the ferry? As I am about to slam my car on its ass courtesy of KW coilovers +++
