Drill and Groove Front brake discs for prefacelift a8

Hi had these on my car for about a month before I decided to get genuine audi brake discs...there is hardly any wear and they have just sat in my garage since....not sure what to ask for them....so I m open to offers...

I need disc's but not sure i need drilled an grooved, but could be interseted if you're kind on my wallet. I need to measure up the disc's i have on at the mo as they are bigger than what came off.

Do you know what size the one's you have are or can you put a tape over them please.

I know what you mean but I’m all for recycling parts, if I’m honest I don’t think I could keep my car on the road if it was not for this forum, for info, help and parts. Some peoples rubbish is another mans gold.

There are those that obviously wouldn’t even consider second hand brakes but there are also those that wouldn’t do any work on their own brakes and probably for the same reasons. That’s why if I’m taking second hand parts the price needs to be right because there could always be worn or don’t fit, it is a gamble for sure.

I have had brake issues for a long time for different reasons and I have already recycled callipers and discs from an early S.

If anyone is throwing parts out it’s always worth asking if on here if it’s needed, even if you think no body will want it (with in reason) I’m not wanting bald tyres and the like.

Hi dezzy

I measured the diameter, and I think they are 310mm. But they certainly fitted on my a8 sport pf.

The discs were fine on the car. The reason I took them off was because after a 1 week I could hear a vibration sound when I braked from the passenger side.

Without investigation I decided to just order new discs and pads. However, when I went to change the discs, I noticed that one of the pads which was held on by those silly 'coat hanger' clip things had slipped off and was sitting at an angle....and so was causing a noise when rubbing against the groove.

In short there is nothing wrong with the discs....however if you like you can take em and if it they don't work out for you....then no worries...otherwise if they do then just send me 20 quid.

If Dezzy does not want them then my mate needs discs and pads, just need to check size on his 3.7 but I have a feeling his are 323mm need to double check it.

Thanks RanjA8, I'll have a go with them. As mentioned i have played around with brakes in the past and have a miss-matched arrangement on the front with S8 bits i have (recycled)
