exterior handle replacement
 

audi a8 d3 drivers side door handle is loose , how do i get to look at it, i have taken off drivers door card and there is an aluminium plate after that, which i can't take off any ideas. thanks

There is a rubber plugged 'hole' in the door frame which lets you use a Torx to unscrew the handle and lift it out.

So when you open the door and look at the latch there should be a cover +++

Does that also apply to the handle with the button on it for keyless locking?

You need to remove the door cards and half the bloody insides to get to the handles
