Brake Discs
Am about to (or need to basically) change the discs on the front.
When enquiring with the local parts place, unsurprisingly I got 'which ones sir.. these ones are more expensive than those ones.. blah blah blah...' essentially I want to replace the standard discs and not spend more than I need to a this point in time - commuter car, just need it to stop shaking my hands when I press the brakes! So is it really a case of me taking a wheel off and measuring across the disc to get the right ones, or is there some other way I can tell - code? something like that? |
All pre facelift non-s8's front discs should be the same - 314 x 30mm
It is in one of the codes on your build sticker, which will then translate to a part on ETKA.... |
Ive got the same problem HarperSimon, mine is in to have new discs and pads all round in the next couple of weeks (kerchingggg!)
Ive got a feeling its due its major service soon as well (Kerchinggg!) Ah well, it will still make me smile . . . :D |

Tell you what, I'll stop being lazy and measure the disc (when my new locking wheel bolts arrive as the current one got destroyed by the tyre place!) |
Those sizes sound facelift, as they are bigger... 323 is the standard facelift front disc.
The only variation in discs for prefacelift is for the S8 (which are slightly larger), otherwise, every engine has the same front and rear setup.... |
quick ruler across and they are 314. Like should have questioned the Oracle..
