Another good day. :)
spent the day out yesterday with my Aunt's son in law, Tony. He does competitive slalom at clubman level here in Canadian. He has quite a sweet deal going with Scion (Toyota to you and I). To promote the marque they have a sponsorship scheme that pays money if you successfully campaign one of there cars in armature FIA approved competition. Basically as long as there are 4 entries in Tony's class (Street stock touring) then for a win he gets $C500, 2nd $C300 and 3rd $C200. In his first year he is 200 bucks up and has,t paid a penny out of his own pocket for the car or its running costs! I got to drive the track after completion of competition. Loads of fun. The really interesting bit? A late module corvette stuffed a TTRS!!!!! In fact Tony's Scion stuffed the TTRS!!!!!!!! Just proves money can't replace talent

On the way home we dropped in to the local drag strip and blagged our way into the pits!

But the best sound of the day was heard while at the motor slalom held on a military airfield. Next to us was a firing range and all day I could hear heavy machine gun fire. Deep joy and fond memories!
