Wanted - Inner Rear Lenses D3
 

Hello all
Thought I'd post on here on the off chance anyone has fitted facelift rears recently and has the old ones left.
My rears are heavily condensated, the reversing lense on the passenger side is discolouring and the rear lamp doesn't work on the drivers side.

I only need the two units that fit on the bootlid. There are some on Ebay for £145.00 the pair which I've asked about condition (don't want the same problem again from the outset).

If anyone has any please let me know.

Did you get anywhere with this? My driver's side has a small crack in it, and i'm debating whether to just do the facelift?

Man these parts are not cheap! :tuttut:

Certainly are not cheap, really annoys me as all the other audis are considerably cheaper when it comes to rear lights.

Pretty rare too.

I'm still looking. I'd love to facelift but its expensive and I gather the facelifts also condensate. Prices are mad compared to the newer model.... still i strongly recommend both of you facelift your lights immediately. Cost should not be allowed to prevent such a wonderful modification. Please be assured i will recycle your used (and valueless) non facelift parts... ;)

I'm on the hunt - most likely will upgrade mine, so long as I can offset the cost of the new ones with the sale of the old ones.

Anyone know if this needs any coding after the mod?

A grand???? what are they milled out of titainium or something?

I remember IT doing his D3 for around £600 brand new Audi parts via ebay i think.

you're quite right - IT did do his for around that price, i've IM'd him and trying to ascertain further details.

It just seems like a lot of money to part with for a light! and i'm get the ill feeling that both the fronts and rear lenses are prone to stone chips, a few people have mentioned it.

I have both inners and offside outer. I'll check they're still working over the weekend having been in my garage for about two years. They were removed from my 2006 S8 when I upgraded to facelift.
Should be back on here on Sunday.

Facelift lights are freely available on the German Ebay site. There's a set for under £600.00 at the moment (or was a few hours ago). At least one other supplier (with lots of stock) at about £650
