Boot trim above battery?

Not sure this fits in this section, but can't find any info with the search.

What methods have people successfully used to replace broken clips on that little panel above the battery that forms a compartment?

I've been offered one with 3 clips in place but figure if I can reinstate the 4th it'll put less force on the original 3 and it should live longer!

Cheers

Adrian

I think I've commented on this before, but I used small screws fitted into the broken-off "stub" at about a 45-degree downward angle.
The ones I used were chrome finish with domed heads, probably small woodscrews.
I just rummaged around in my collection until I found some of an appropriate size where the head needed a tiny bit of pressure to go through the slot.

I think I made a pilot hole with a large needle heated in a gas flame.

I did just the same, but made the pilot with a fine drill bit. Worked a treat

I took black colour extra heavy duty Velcro tape and glued strips of it to the boot trim and to the 'door'. I used two component Araldite adhesive.

It worked perfectly. But 3 years later I simply upgraded to full size door.

I bought a brand new full size panel from Hoffman Car Parts in Holland. Looks like they still have some in stock if anyone is interested.

I ordered one of these a little while ago, very inexpensive compared to local prices and they are quick and efficient. I think they showed as having 3 or 4 left in stock when I ordered mine. If only they had the front bumper grilles too!
