PF console switches - are any latching on/off?
I intend to use the large spare PF-style switch slot (to the right of the steering wheel) for a "video in motion" switch when I get my DVB-T working properly.
As stage 1 of this I bought a rear blind switch, knowing it's just an instantaneous contact, because: 1. It's got a good, relevant symbol on it. (Others have used it for garage door openers I believe) 2. To check it fits OK and test the VIM function works. Looking at the switch it's fairly easy to dismantle, so the cover can easily be swapped to one with a different function. Ideally I'd like to get a latching switch and swap the covers over, failing that I'll do it with a relay of some sort. So, does anyone know if any of the PF D2 switches are physically latching; press for on then press again for off? Would the hazard switch be like that, for example? |
