nightmare day
Decided to clean the throttle body today and when removing it, the bit tool i was using fell into the bell housing.
What's the best way to get it out???? this is where I think it went in, and I can now see a silver score mark where the bit must be rubbing off the rust. http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps16b5f7e7.jpg http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/t...psbbd3b727.jpg |
get one of those flexible arm magnets and poke around till it sticks on the end, but without seeing the hole it fell into thats just a best guess

It's either bouncing or stuck next to something that is moving.

Pull the transmission, if a flexi magnet won't reach it. If it catches the torque converter at 3,000 rpm, it'll be sent through the casing.
I had the same with a 10mm nut in an Audi 100. Smashed a hole through the transmission. |
It's been bouncing about for a while and by the sound of it, there isn't much left of the bit left
