Faultcode 16486 & 18265

Hi.

Yesterday i was just moving the car a few meters and noticed at startup(cold engine) that it really threw out a cloud of smoke, grey-ish and it smelled petrol all over. The smoke stopped immediatly after starup and the car seemed fine.

Had to move it again today and the same thing happened so i took her for a ride and no smoke and car acting all fine.

A scan revealed theese codes.

Address 01: Engine Labels: 4D0-907-560-AVP.lbl
2 Faults Found:
17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
P1570 - 35-10 - - Intermittent
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70)
P0102 - 35-10 - Signal too Low - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

and

Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: 01L-927-156.lbl
1 Fault Found:
18265 - Load Signal
P1857 - 35-10 - Error Message from ECU - Intermittent

After reading some threads regarding thiose codes i'm wondering if the code from the auto trans is caused by the MAF code above?

My Maf was cleaned not long ago after some other issues fixed by changing all the vacum lines

Took her for a spin after deleting codes now and pushed her to the rev limiter and did a 0-60 test just to put load on the engine and see if the codes came back. they didn't.

But, while playing with VCDS and trying to read out milage that only left me a error message i went back to 02 Engine and suddenly i had this fault code

18048 - Internal Control Module
P1640 - 35-00 - EEPROM Error

Cleared it and it seems gone... Ross-Tech wiki scared for a minute since it claims that error message = Broken ECU/Software.....

Whilst playing with VCDS you may have told something to do what is impossible thus generating a fault code. As long as you had not seen it before or since, it should be ok.
