A couple of issues.

Issue 1. My central locking is not working. I did a scan and it appears that my key fob needs adapting or something. The Ross tech wiki has no procedure for this so can anybody help?

Issue 2. I inadvertently put the wrong code in my radio and it went into safe mode. I have the correct code but now I can't enter it. What can I do?

Thanks.

Steve.

Wait 1 hour with the ignition on. That's it - says so in the manual. ;)
You might get away with just the radio powered on for that time.

Thanks. I'll try it.

Right. Tried your suggestion, HP, and bingo! That's the radio working. Anybody any idea of setting my key fob up? Ta.

Try one of these depending on whether you have VCDS or second key.

at least 2 keys needed

with VCDS can do one key on it's own

Brilliant stuff. Actually, I've been thinking. As I only have one key it may be that the fob battery is dead. I'll change it and see what happens. If I get no luck I'll go through an adaption and hopefully that will sort it.

Thanks

Steve

Sorted. I changed the batteries in the fob then just re-synchronised everything by pressing the lock button on the fob then locking the door manually with the key. This valuable information was found in the car instruction manual - which I should read more often when I get problems like this.
