D2 S8 or D3 4.2 A8?
I like my D2 S8 a lot. However I also like the look of this:

Could you keep both?
That D3 does have a nice colour and sports interior. A bit too high mileage for me, but if it's on its 3rd cam belt I could sleep at night. Also it's far from Norwich to look at. However, Richard Nash do have an A8L in stock if you just want to get inside a D3 and have a play. That one is a 3.0 TDi on 17's. We really should have that East Anglia mini meet and see other A8's |
Nothing wrong with the looks of the PF D3, but you could get a FL D3 for not-a-lot more... +++

I loved my D2's, but personally? I would go with the D3. It's much more modern, well equipped, and is actually quicker than the D2 S8.
It also has a much more robust transmission, unlike the D2 which can be a ticking time bomb, waiting to go off. Still, it's a personal thing. |

I read that the D3 was 335BHP and assumed 'not as quick'. I guess other factors are at play.
The pluses for me regarding the D2 S8 are: •*Looks • Relative scarcity • The D2s are cool Whereas the pluses for a D3 are: • Slightly fresher styling making it look more current •*Not so long in the tooth •*No gearbox worries • Diesel options •*Toys |
