I'm plodding on. Spent 4 hours today refitting the glovebox....
The cable from the release button was knackered and glued together, and the glovebox was bent and didn't align properly. Arrrgh. Anyway, all done now.
So, to make me feel better here's a list of what's been done so far:
- Oil / filter change
- Spark plugs
- Wiper blades
- Coil packs
- New MAF
- Replaced and cleaned throttle body
- New battery
- A/C regas
- Replaced n/s cat and Lambda sensor
- All previous rear seat entertainment removed
- Fresh alcantara headlinings fitted
- Passenger seat memory fixed
- PIN retrieved for the RNS-E
- Diversity antenna checked and verified ok.
- Front door cards sorted, and soundproofing reinstated.
- Reversing camera removed
- A/C drains unblocked
- Heated windscreen fitted and wired correctly
- Climate module diagnosed: bare, touching wires sorted, and refitted correctly + done basic settings
- RNS-E refitted correctly
- Number plates attached
- Rear armrest fixed properly
- Broken handbrake trim replaced
- Broken sunroof control replaced
- Engine ECU/Clocks replaced, which fixed an annoying fuel gauge issue
- Boot lid trims refitted correctly
- Upper headlining trims refitted correctly
- Passenger seat now bolted down. Yes. Really.
- Rear seats reinstalled, and now actually bolted down too.
- Fault with bluetooth phone module diagnosed and replacement on way
- Reconnected solar roof as cables had been pulled out
- Traced rattle in roof to broken sunroof trims
- Refitted all lower dash trims using all correct fixings
- Refitted transmission tunnels covers, using correct screws
- Refitted passenger wooden footplate using correct screws
- Faulty bonnet shut sensor fixed
- Front Passenger door upper 2nd locking plunger removed to stop rattle
- All TV aerials checked and verified working
- Given it a 9 spoke spare wheel to match
- Got 4 correct sized tyres to replace the ones that are on
+ Cleaned and hoovered as I've gone along to make it feel a bit more fresh
I still have 34 items to do on my list, 1 of which is 'fix engine' lol, which will take quite a bit longer than 'fit correct phone aerial', but hey ho, its forward progress
