plenty of examples of referendums in other countries , some binding , some not as in the uk ; but the one thing they have in common is that , for example , 20million and 1 is carried versus 20 million; 60% and 66% are the common figures used , some with a minimum percentage of voters having voted
anyone know if the voting was done on the same basis as parliamentary seats so that MP's know how their constituency went ? this has to pass the house of commons yet ....it ain't over until the fat lady sings and MP's won't vote against their electors , will they !

The young don't/didn't vote. Only 1/3 did from initial reports. If the turnout was, say 70%, we'll be looking at a different result.
