.. you can assign your memory to the key as well as the button. it's in the manual somewhere..
Do yours not work at all with the doors closed?
It sets the memory when you open the door.. I guess it's that you may be in and out the boot a couple of times, so saves power on the system by not doing the move until you open the door.
