Sorry to dig up an old thread, I too recently was working on my sunroof drains after a deluge landed on my gf as she sat in the passanger seat on quite possibly the single worst occasion it could have happened.. in labour on the way to hospital for our first baby

So I parked the a8 facing down on a very slight incline and opened sunroof and poured 2 liters of water in either side of the sunroof tray and the front ones appear fine. I then parked the car facing slightly uphill and did the same with the rear, it appears the drivers side rear drain is fine but the passenger side rear was blocked. This explains why a sudden deluge of water poured onto my gf the first time I used my brakes after parking on a slight upward incline over a wet night.

Anyway can somebody explain a good method for cleaning out the rear drains, I used strimmer cord pushed through the front ones but its impossible to reach the rear drains from the top. I found the drain when looking behind the cd player in rear quater and tried pushing cord back up it but it wont budge, some serious crud stuck in there somewhere. Any ideas how to get it out??

thanks
