Think i got my first ever speeding ticket last night got flashed by a speed camera :-

was on the way back from manchester air port at 3am and it was really foggy could not see very well and i was doing 40mph as there were street lamps and out of no where a flash and it was a bloody speed camera im guessing it must have been a 30mph limit but i could not see any marking at all it was very foggy, any way around this ? or is it simply driver error
