Just in case, I will state the obvious. The shocks in the photo are coil overs. While only the front of a D2 has coilovers, the rear wont take them.
If you are building a tube chasis what sort of suspension will you use? Double wishbone, opposing coilovers? You would be better looking at the Koni or Bilstin coilovers. Check out e-bay. HTH CtL
