Default Door latch switch

I seem to be getting an occasional error with the front passenger door switch which shows the door as open even when its firmly closed. Searching a few old threads provides the info that the switch is in the latch so can anyone advise what is involved in replacement? (apart from money... )

Give it a good old squirt with WD and a couple of hard-ish slams, then see...

If it's the microswitch, then they're a bit fiddly to get the lock out, but not too scary.. Mostly just taking bits out the door innards.

Thanks Richard. I'll give Plan A a go.
