How to remove the battery?
Hello Gents,
As topic states, how does one go about taking the battery out of the boot? I need to charge it externaly(as my car is parked on the street and I live on the 3rd floor) the space the battery is in, is verry narrow and I cannot find out on how to get it out... Any special way to remove it? Car is a D2 PF 4.2 euro model Thanks in advance, Jake

I replaced mine on my PF once, several years ago and it was all quite easy and obvious IIRC. Just lifted out after removing all the covers etc. and undoing all the necessary bits.
I think it sits on a metal bar that helps you lift it out, but it was a few years ago now so I'm not 100% sure. All the batteries I've seen have 2 handles that fold up to help you lift it.

Polestar performance "optimisation".  (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
