Glovebox light

Hi folks

Got in the car the other day and opened the glovebox, to find the light unit hanging down by its wires!! No idea why it has parted company as never really have much in there beyond a couple of CD cases and some bits and bobs.....

I've tried to refit it but I'm thinking I've probably got some broken tiny piece of plastic that should be helping to hold it in place.

From what I can feel (since you can't see it without a mirror!) it appears there's a hinge to the front of the light unit that needs to be fed into a metal cutout above the glovebox, and the rear sits against a curved section of metal but there appears no way of holding it there

Is something broken, or am I doing it wrong?!

I priced up a new light unit and it's about 30 quid, so I'd kinda like to rule out me being an idiot before I consider replacing it......
