I'm sure this has been covered before, but a quick scan didn't find anything.
Had wet feet syndrome a while back (sloshing noises and then a big dollop onto my feet in a corner) but at the last service they said they cleared some aircon drains and it certainly was OK. Went to the winter meet the other day, just under 200 miles mostly in pouring rain (especially coming back) and had no noticeable problems. (but maybe something filled up in readiness for today.....) Today did a 200 mile round trip and on the way back, near home, going "smartly" round a left-hand bend (exiting a roundabout) my left foot got soaked. Managed to get a bit more out of both sides by "pushing it" on a couple of uphill bends shortly afterwards. Weather was dry for the "outward" trip and light drizzle (intermittent wipers only, even on motorway) coming back. It seems to be coming out of the centre console a few inches above the floor, but as it's dark I haven't investigated. It's just plain water. No noticeable condensation - unlike one of the cars at the meet! Any thoughts on the likely cause and ease of fixing? 1998 PF S8. Cheers! Last edited by HPsauce; 1st January 2012 at 07:56 PM. |
