Mystery electircs in battery compartment

Yesterday when Sergey and me were performing surgery on the heated windscreen module, we saw some odd looking wires and relays in my battery compartment. The odd thing was one of the 3 red wires goes nowhere, the other two go to two relays that are not bolted down, and then wires from those dissapear into the wire duct into the bumper.

Anyone know what this is for?
