20" tyre sizes
Hi.
Finally off to view/buy those 20" alloys, previously mentioned, on Sunday. I just thought I'd do the maths on the tyre sizes........... My current tyres (255/40 18) give a rolling circumference of 207.7 CM. The new tyres (265/40/20) give a rolling circum of 226.2 CM......Unless I've done my maths wrong! This is quite a difference! Has anyone here jumped from 255/40/18 to a similar sized (265/40) on a 20" wheel, or have they opted for a smaller profile to get the circumference closer. Or...........is it not an issue in the whole scheme of things? Obviously, the speedo would under read a tad. Thanks
