Ah yes, forgot about that guy who does the 'bagpipe' kits, I'll buy one of them to renew the parts anyway. I bought one for my first D3 when the suspension was getting a bit tired on that.

And I'm not going to "slam it to the weeds" in the word of Edd China, just was curious to see what a drop of 15mm or so would look like and probably wouldn't be permanent.

Well because I couldn't complete the VCDS lowering process (you must fully complete adaptation), I've got the orange suspension warning light and the adaptive function of the headlights and cornering lights aren't working -__-

Got the new kit from bagpipingandy coming tomorrow so hopefully this will fix it and I'll be able to complete the adaptation!

Trying doing a test on the compressor first using vcds with the help of the label file from the following thread

http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=10823

If you watch the following video you can see how to test the compressor, ignore the other waffle as it was related to somebody else's issues.

If you watch until the point of login then skip to 14:30 you will see how to test the compressor

Thats after entering the security code right?

If you don't enter the security code you cant run test either.

Before basic settings click on security-16 and enter the code

Also if you do get at it remember the test will only run for a minute, i had to do mine a few times to to get to 16 bar which is the max

Yeah I definitely went through security access, then when I clicked Do it! after typing 08367 I got a little error box saying it wasn't possible.
