The first things i'd do is check the spacers and make sure that your wheels are balanced correctly

Default Bumpy ride

Thanks for the suggestions guys....
I m not sure the answer is a simple one....but will slowly perservere and try to resolve.

I have similar symptoms with the a8 sports and no spacers....as I did with the final edition 20s..However with the final editions the symptoms were more severe....I think as a I was putting more strain on the drivetrain....

I changed the discs and pads last year...so dont think it is them...but I will check with a micrometer and adjust accordingly....however i did notice that the rear discs looked quite worn...ie lip showing...but loads of life left in the pads....

I am more inclined it might be suspension related...possibly worn engine or gearbox mounts.....but is there an easy way of checking these????? However, I think I ll do something I havent done before and book it in with an audi specialist first to investigate it and take it from there....

Try Aiden at Bahnstorm. I've heard very good things about him. Based in Northampton, he has a D2 S8 himself.

I have this problem with my S8 slight vibration feels like wheel wobble at about 80/90 then when I'm slowing down and braking it feels worse and like its coming from the rear of the car.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem with yours?

Cheers it's having coilovers fitted tomorrow so they will check all this when there, also having new rear discs and pads as they don't look to great and this could also be the route of the problem.

I'll update tomorrow evening when I get car back and let you know the outcome.

Default Vibration

Well when I took I for MOT it turned out that a outer tie rod end was badly worn and lower rear arm was worn....once replaced the car drove so much better.....so if it is t wheel balance I would check suspension joints....

I've just had two tie-rod ends and a rear lower arm done on mine and it drives so much better. I didn't actually realise how bad it'd become until it was sorted out...............I just blamed the terrible condition of the local roads
