Oddly, this morning neither of my radio-controlled clocks had updated themselves to GMT.
a) The S8. Radio symbol showing so it's had a signal fairly recently.
b) Office/study wall clock.

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

The mast symbol will only disappear after several days of failed attempts. Exact figure is documented earlier in this thread.
Because time changed today at midnight that means your synch attempts all failed since the midnight.
I checked my car in the morning and the clock updated tip top. Perhaps because of oem location of receiver.

Yes, I remembered that and assumed that was what happened to the car.

I just pulled the battery on the wall clock and it sorted itself out within a few minutes.
Car has been idle for several days and won't be in use for a few more anyway so I'll just leave it. It's been fine on all other changes since I put it in a couple of years ago.

I wonder if last nights clear weather conditions have affected radio propagation/reception?

Not even sure if my D3 has this as I always have to change the time manually

If not, it's probably a pretty simple add-on. Someone here must know.
Edit: See here: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=10057

Went into my S8 today to put something in the glovebox and noticed the clock is now correct.
Might be using it this evening for a local trip, otherwise it's first outing in over a week will be to Goodwood on Sunday on show at the "Bahn-Stormers Breakfast".

I really fancied this add on , so I waded through this thread
having done a cost /benefit analysis ....maybe I won't bother

I suppose I should be grateful that I don't have a beemer ; They solve the uk [ and maybe portuguese ] problem by having a transmission from the long wave transmitter at rugby so the system is available on uk vehicles ; but hang about .... the long wave transmitter works using good old fashioned thermionic valves , which are not made any more ! auntie had a search round the world and found some second hand ones available , so for the moment ok ; but when they are gone ....no more long wave transmissions

that WOULD be annoying ...if I had a beemer !

Mine stopped showing the antenna symbol a few days before the clocks changed and hasn't updated the time since. The receiver isn't in the OEM position, but it's worked fine for ages none the less. Do these things fail does anyone know?

Current mods: solar sun roof, 20mm rear spacers, 15 mm on front, red brembo callipers, 6k headlights, rear view camera, engine remap, alloy dash dial rings, alloy navi rings, tt/phaeton pedal upgrade, (and custom matching foot rest) dension ipod interface & parrot hands free kit (both fully hidden), av input, tv in motion switched thro' PF switch in blanking plug right of steering column, Audi 'quattro' sill covers, repositioned centre console switches, radio clock, .
Planned mods: auto-dimming rear view mirror, dash cam (as steamship's), fit the ski hatch, refit philips drl's (or maybe not - nope, definitely not - horrible botch!).

I bought mine second hand fro ebay,de, so it wasn't dear and, because I fitted my receiver in a non OEM position (I've bought the brackets and will do it right eventually), it was a relatively easy fit - just remove the under dash panel below the steering wheel, plug it in, stick the receiver high behind the dash, and use the VCDS to tell the car it's there.

If I can do it, then most people can!
