Ok thanks
![]() ... so I'd just need the discs and pads, yeah? So would that be any discs and pads suitable for an RS6? And what is the bracket for?

![]() Quote:
As the 8 pot caliper is huge compared to the 4 pot and the discs are bigger you need an adapter to bolt the caliper to.

Very tempted ...
So, to get an idea of cost, what size discs am I looking for, or would any that fit an RS6 or Phaeton do? And you have the brackets and pads ... what about the dust covers/guards? ... and would I need anything else?

I think anything 365mm and above.
You could fit 390mm if you want. RS4 or Phaeton you'll be looking for to make it easier. Got brackets and pads. Don't know about the splash guards I'm assuming they have to go or be modified. As I've never fitted them I don't know if you need anything else. Mike (Conan) may be able to advise?

With the calipers, the adapters and a set of pads (I use Ferodo DS 2500) you will need disks from a C6 RS 6 or B7 RS4 or possibly a Pheaton. I use AP racing disks (they need their own bells). With those parts just fit, test and re-attach your retinas!

Thanks Mike!
Any suitable discs seem to be in the region of £700 or more. Is that right? At that kind of money, I'm wondering if it's worthwhile. Presumably the upgrade won't make the car stop any quicker since that depends more on tyre grip and the laws of physics. So I gather that the main benefits are the aesthetics of larger discs and much keener braking?
