Default AV Performance Visit

Whoops!!!

Organised a visit to AVP today for a service and cambelt change (so far so good).
Ben had me in for next week after I got up early and drove 100miles (1.35hours) to be there

He couldn't get the bits so had up on the ramps for a check - not to bad:
Rear bushes for the anti-roll bar will need replacing in the next year or so.
Minor leak from the rear diff (level checked and OK) and also a leak from the front gearbox/engine but again minor.
Lower wishbone balljoint shot (not noticed from the the driving it!) and disks not to good but the pads are fairly new so he suggested leaving for a while.

Diagnostic showed just a fuel/air issue and spark plug issue and that was it.

Waiting for an email from him (which he reckoned I would get before I get home) that would outline what needs to be done and also the cost

Ben is a very nice chap (comes across as honest and very knowledgeable).

Fingers crossed for next Saturday

Sounds like a bit of a result! Just the usual minor leaks and suspension issues.

Which numpty got the date wrong then?

I'll definitely have to get the 8 down to Ben at some point this year, especially after the reviews he's had.

It would appear I got the date wrong. I had kept this Sat free in theory for a vist from Mike so didn't order the bits for yours. Really sorry. Was good to do the pre check though and I've sent your quote for the bits I did find.

p.s, crackin car! Really well looked after example!

Was good to meet up, sorry for the partially wasted trip!!

Hi Ben, thanks for the feedback.

Not received the mail as yet - will check my spam folder just in case

Looking forward to next weekend (hopefully) when I get it sorted
