Default Wipers issue??

Scratching my head a bit on this one
So annoying, wipers once at first setting they just go bazookas
When rains they seem not to recognise it, I cannot see a thing!!!
When I move the sensor near rear view mirror they start to work for a bit, then mind on their own
I counted breaks between sequence 3s sometimes 15s
I did replaced the sensor with the sticky pad-still the same
Probably thats why my auto lights are on all the time...same sensor right?
Any ideas?

do you have access to VCDS? a scan may reveal something...

FYI - I had intermittent issues with mine and it needed a proper shake [been okay ever since, e.g. 1Y+).

Mine just go full whack on the auto setting if there's even a drizzle of rain. No rain and they don't move. The speed setting on the stalk has no effect on them at all they just go full whack with any bit of rain

I ordered a brand new sensor will let you know if any different
Part number changed from 4e to 4k - when that happens usually part is modified due to previous issues I guess
