I'll have to defend the Q7 on how simple it is to change its headlight bulbs.
You push 2 plastic tabs on the headlight housing, unclip the multiplug and slide forward the entire headlamp housing. Twist off the dust cover and just swap out the bulbs. If only an A8 was as easy !!

Im a little unsure what i have in my new motor as well. 56 2006 S8
I know they are cornering lights, led drl's On start up they come on then get brighter after a few seconds. Still need to adjust the height though... haven't gotten around to that yet.

You'll have a single D2s that is dipped and high beam, a solenoid controls a moveable cut-off. The cornering is an H8 halogen.
